The Idaho State Capitol Wing Expansion project created two single below grade buildings to the East and West sides of the existing State Capitol building. These underground wings provided additional space for hearing rooms, conference areas, offices, kitchen and dining, as well as storage capacity.

Utelite Corporation provided a lightweight soil media that was placed on top of the underground buildings to support the plant detail specified in the landscape design.
